Oliver Dungey is a film producer based in NYC. He produced Claire Denis’s HIGH LIFE and Liv Ullmann’s MISS JULIE. 

HIGH LIFE had gala premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival, the New York Film Festival, and the San Sebastian International Film Festival, and is distributed in North America by A24. Directed by Claire Denis, it stars Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Mia Goth and André Benjamin, and was developed in collaboration with artist Olafur Eliasson and one of the world’s foremost experts on black holes, Aurélien Barrau. Stuart Staples wrote the original score; the cinematographer was Yorick Le Saux.

In preparation for the film, Oliver produced a short by Claire Denis at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris on the occasion of Olafur Eliasson’s exhibition, ‘Contact’. It was shot by Agnes Godard and Yorick Le Saux, with a score by Stuart Staples.

Previously, he produced Liv Ullmann’s adaptation of Strindberg’s MISS JULIE, with Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton. The film premiered at TIFF and received theatrical distribution in over 30 territories around the world. 

Oliver started his career in Paris as an assistant to the producers on PARIS, JE T’AIME, before spending 2 years working as an acquisitions executive in international sales and distribution at The Works in London, then transferring to New York to work as an assistant producer on NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU.  He subsequently created a database of the costs and financial performance of more than 1500 independent films produced since 2000.

He grew up in Hong Kong, Singapore and London. He studied at the University of Edinburgh and L’École du Louvre in Paris. He also owns The Apocalypse Films Company, which is based in London.

Julia Balaeskoul Nusseibeh is a founding partner at Illustrious Films LLC.  She worked at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt and Mosle, LLP, a law firm in New York, prior to transitioning to venture capital.  She has been involved in film and theatre production for more than a decade and has been credited as an executive producer on Miss JulieHigh Life and Dégradé (Cannes Film Festival Critic’s Week Selection 2015).  As a patron of the arts, Julia supports the Drama League and the Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, NY, as well as the Metropolitan Opera.  She is a Trustee of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Jamal Nusseibeh is also a founding partner at Illustrious Films LLC and works mainly in venture capital. He has also taught international law, and held academic appointments at Al Quds University in Jerusalem and at Columbia University in New York; he is a member of the Bar of England and Wales.  He also currently serves as a board member of the US Friends of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra.
